Max Object Count

Hi! I’ve been looking for an alternative to Google’s My Maps for a while and the performance from MapHub is very good. My biggest reason for looking for a My Maps alternative is that Google only allows up to 2,000 objects in a layer, and up to 10 layers per map (so 20,000 objects in all, per map). This object limit is usually more than I need, but if I needed a map with 100,000+ objects, is there a reason that the object count for MapHub is capped at 10,000? It seems like even with 10,000 objects loaded in, the performance is still better than Google. Can the Mapbox GL engine just not handle so much data?
