Map protection

Although I’m keen to protect my map from being shared and abused and have disabled downloading and embedding, what are the implications of allowing them both?
Would the benefits to users outweigh the risk of my map being stolen?

It’s really up to you to make that decision. Originally I wanted all public MapHub maps to be downloadable, to make it possible to share interesting resources. For example anyone who finds a map could download it to an offline app via GPX and make a trip using that.

Recently, more and more users have been asking to make it possible to disable this, so I’ve implemented that. I believe both choices make sense. If you want to support offline usage of your map, I recommend enabling downloads.
