Making a copy of you map

I want to create multiple maps. these maps will share a lot of similarities but will be slightly different. I dont want to have to recreate the map again and again as it a very complex one

Hi,

It is very simple, just create a reference map and download it as GeoJSON (share / GeoJSON).

Later, just import this file into the other maps so you can copy it this way.

While not a cloning of a map, organising the items into groups might be what you are looking for. + It also supports a “Copy to Group” feature.

You can read more about it in the following blog post:

Can you help me understand how how to create a reference map and download it as GeoJSON?

Is there somewhere I can go to get step by step instructions and understand what a reference map is and what GeoJSON is and how to use it?

Thanks, Mark

Reference map = the map you’d like to copy from. Open it, click Download and click MapHub Archive ZIP.

After this step, go to My Maps and click Import Archive ZIP.

There is no “MapHub Archive ZIP.” option after I click on download, how can I copy a map not created by me?

In that case just use MapHub GeoJSON.
